AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-23-10, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO EXPENSES OF GENERAL ELECTION OFFICERS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT MANAGERS AND CLERKS OF GENERAL ELECTIONS SHALL RECEIVE A PER DIEM AS IS PROVIDED IN THE ANNUAL STATE GENERAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Expenses of general election officers

SECTION 1. Section 7-23-10 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 7-23-10. Commissioners of state and county general elections shall receive as expenses two hundred dollars per year, payable quarterly. Managers and clerks of general elections shall receive a per diem as is provided in the annual state general appropriations act. Each commissioner, manager, or clerk is entitled to mileage as is provided by law for state employees."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
