A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND MARIAN LACROSS WILLIAMS JONES FOR HER SERVICE TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL IN HOME HEALTH SERVICES, OFFICE OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, AND MARION COUNTY VOTER REGISTRATION, SINCE DECEMBER, 1972.

Whereas, Marian LaCross Williams Jones has announced that she will retire on June 12, 1992, as Home Health Aide for Marion County; and

Whereas, Mrs. Jones assisted and encouraged community members to use their voting privileges to support adequate representation for Marion County and the State of South Carolina; and

Whereas, Mrs. Jones was instrumental in the overall effectiveness of the Office of Economic Opportunity in Marion County, transporting clients to and from doctors' offices for family planning; and

Whereas, Mrs. Jones has been a valuable resource to the Marion County Home Health Department in her endeavor to aid the homebound with not only personal care but through trust and reliability to cash monthly benefit checks and pay monthly bills for clients, procure food items and use her personal funds to improve living conditions for many clients across Marion County. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly commend Marian LaCross Williams Jones for her service to the State of South Carolina for her many facets of service since 1972.
