 granting the team, coaches, and school officials the privilege of the floor of
 the House of Representatives on Thursday, February 8, 1996, at a time to be
 determined by the Speaker.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION

EXTENDING CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MAULDIN HIGH SCHOOL CROSS-COUNTRY TEAM UPON WINNING THE 1995 CLASS AAAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AND GRANTING THE TEAM, COACHES, AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS THE PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 1996, AT A TIME TO BE DETERMINED BY THE SPEAKER.

Whereas, the members of the House of the Representatives were delighted to learn that the Mauldin High School Mavericks Cross-Country Team has won the 1995 Class AAAA State Championship; and

Whereas, the team's dedication, talent, hard work, and unity and the excellent coaching of Coach Delmer HowellNext clearly paid off for the Mavericks; and

Whereas, this 1995 State Championship was Mauldin High School's tenth in various classifications for boys and girls cross-country teams; and

Whereas, the Mauldin High School Cross-Country Team for 1995 includes Mark Berglind, Kevin Cox, Christian Dawson, B. J. Dillard, Chris Foster, Justin Hall, Jason Ortmeier, John Palastro, Nick Tursa, Patrick Warren, Reed Watson, and Martin Wright; and

Whereas, Mauldin High School has added to its rich cross-country history in the manner they finished the 1995 season and are highly deserving of recognition for their accomplishments. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate the Mauldin High School Cross-Country Team on winning the 1995 Class AAAA State Championship.

Be it further resolved that the team, coaches, and school officials be granted the privilege of the floor of the House of Representatives for the purpose of being recognized and congratulated on Thursday, February 8, 1996, at a time to be determined by the Speaker.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Delmer PreviousHowell, Coach of the Mauldin High School Cross-Country Team.
