A CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION
COMMENDING AND THANKING THOMAS S. LINTON OF
COLUMBIA FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING
SERVICE AS MEMBER AND CHAIRMAN OF THE RICHLAND
COUNTY RECREATION COMMISSION.
Whereas, since 1961 Thomas S. Linton has rendered invaluable
service to the citizens of Richland County on the Richland County
Recreation Commission; and
Whereas, he has been a member and the chairman of the
commission; and
Whereas, he has made the work of the commission a personal labor
of love; he has provided vision, leadership, hard work, and
dedication toward making Richland County's recreational facilities
and opportunities second-to-none in the State; and
Whereas, Tom Linton, former Code Commissioner and Director of
the Legislative Council, is greatly deserving of recognition for the
superb work he has rendered to the Richland County Recreation
Commission and on the occasion of his retirement from the
commission, we are delighted to have this opportunity to salute
him. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate
concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this
resolution, commends and thanks Thomas S. Linton of Columbia
for his many years of outstanding service as member and chairman
of the Richland County Recreation Commission.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Mr. Linton.
