JANUARY 2001, AND TO WISH HIM CONTINUED SUCCESS AS HE PURSUES NEW CAREER
OPPORTUNITIES IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA.

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND MR. GEORGE GINTOLI FOR HIS SERVICE AS DIRECTOR OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH SINCE JANUARY 2001, AND TO WISH HIM CONTINUED SUCCESS AS HE PURSUES NEW CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA.
Whereas, Mr. George Gintoli became the Director of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health in January 2001; and
Whereas, before moving to South Carolina, he was President of Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare System, a network of inpatient and community sites operated by the Ohio Department of Mental Health; and
Whereas, Mr. Gintoli has more than thirty years of experience in the healthcare field. Throughout his career, he has led transformation and reform efforts in all aspects of behavioral healthcare with a primary focus on aspects of recovery; and
Whereas, he is a member of the clinical staff of Case Western Reserve University and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine; and
Whereas, Mr. Gintoli is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors and is Vice President of the Board of Directors of the National Research Institute; and
Whereas, he is a graduate of Sacred Heart University where he earned a degree in Psychology and obtained a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven; and
Whereas, he and his wife Elaine are the proud parents of four sons; and
Whereas, it is fitting and proper for the members of the General Assembly to recognize and commend Mr. George Gintoli for his service as Director of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, recognize and commend Mr. George Gintoli for his service as Director of the South Carolina Department of Mental Health and to wish him continued success as he pursues new career opportunities in the State of Florida.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. George Gintoli.
