LANCASTER FOR HIS DEDICATION TO SCOUTING AND HIS ACHIEVING THE HIGHEST HONOR
IN SCOUTING, THE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD, AND TO WISH HIM MUCH SUCCESS IN HIS FUTURE
ENDEAVORS.

A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO COMMEND AND CONGRATULATE JONATHAN T. "TREY" ELLIS OF LANCASTER FOR HIS DEDICATION TO SCOUTING AND HIS ACHIEVING THE HIGHEST HONOR IN SCOUTING, THE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD, AND TO WISH HIM MUCH SUCCESS IN HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives applaud Jonathan T. "Trey" Ellis for his admirable accomplishment of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; and
Whereas, Trey Ellis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Berry Ellis and a senior at Lancaster High School; and
Whereas, Trey Ellis is a member of Boy Scout Troop 180 and embodies the words of the Scout Law. Trey is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent; and
Whereas, to obtain the honor of Eagle Scout, each candidate must organize and develop a service project. Trey Ellis' project was cemetery beautification for St. Luke United Methodist Church, where he is a member; and
Whereas, Trey Ellis will be honored with his Eagle Scout Award at St. Luke United Methodist Church on Sunday, February 10, 2002; and
Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the House of Representatives to pause in their deliberations so that they might recognize and honor this outstanding young man. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, commend and congratulate Jonathan T. "Trey" Ellis of Lancaster for his dedication to scouting and his achieving the highest honor in scouting, the Eagle Scout Award, and wish him much success in his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Jonathan T. "Trey" Ellis of Lancaster.
