A HOUSE RESOLUTION
TO COMMEND AND THANK MR. JOHN C. ANDERSON OF LEXINGTON COUNTY FOR HIS LONG AND DISTINGUISHED CAREER IN PUBLIC EDUCATION AND WISH HIM HAPPINESS AND GOOD HEALTH UPON HIS RETIREMENT.
Whereas, John C. Anderson of Lexington County has dedicated his entire professional career to public education, serving as a teacher, coach, and an administrator for the past thirty-two years; and
Whereas, he will retire at the end of this school year as Principal of Chapin High School, a position he has held for nineteen years; and
Whereas, under Mr. Anderson's leadership and direction, Chapin High School has achieved the highest levels of academic success, being recognized as both a "National Blue Ribbon School" and as an "Exemplary School for Reading and Writing"; and
Whereas, during his tenure as Principal, Chapin High School's SAT Team became the only South Carolina team to win the prestigious SAT Team Championship for four consecutive years; and
Whereas, Chapin High School's extraordinary accomplishments are directly attributable to his vision and vital encouragement; and
Whereas, Mr. Anderson's friendly, positive attitude permeates his relationships with all of his students, faculty, and fellow administrators; and
Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the House of Representatives to pause in their deliberations so that they may honor so distinguished a South Carolinian on the occasion of his well-earned retirement. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives commend and thank Mr. John C. Anderson of Lexington County for his long and distinguished career in public education and wish him happiness and good health upon his retirement.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Anderson.
