Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Findings
Section 1. The General Assembly finds that the office of the Comptroller
General has conducted a careful study
of the statutory law relating to that office and public finance generally. The
results of the study indicate that
certain sections of the 1976 Code relating to these matters are obsolete and
have been replaced or superseded by
more recent legislation and should be repealed to eliminate conflicts in the
law and references in the law,
particularly those relating to the Comptroller General's office, to functions
no longer performed by that office.
It is the purpose of the act to implement the suggestions of the Comptroller
General.
Repeal
Section 2. Sections 1-5-50, 4-1-100, 7-23-30, 8-3-170, 11-3-30, 11-3-70,
