TO AMEND SECTION 50-11-515, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE USE OF WILD TURKEY FEATHERS IN PreviousARTNext, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THIS PROVISION ALLOWS ANY AMERICAN INDIAN PreviousARTISTNext WHO IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE FEDERAL AND STATE LAW TO SELL CRAFTS BASED UPON THE USE OF WASTE PARTS OF CERTAIN GAME ANIMALS IF THE PreviousARTISTNext POSSESSES AN IDENTIFICATION CARD THAT PROVES THAT HE IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS SECTION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 50-11-515 of the 1976 Code, as added by Acts 286 and 300 of 2008, is amended to read:

"Section 50-11-515.    An American Indian PreviousartistNext, who is in compliance with a member of a tribe recognized by (1) Public Law 101-644, the Indian PreviousArtsNext and Crafts Board Act, and (2) the state's Commission on Minority Affairs pursuant to who is recognized in accordance with Section 1-31-40, may use wild turkey feathers in PreviousartsNext and crafts that are offered for sale and sold to the general public if the PreviousartistNext has on his person a tribal identification card demonstrating his authorization pursuant to the Indian PreviousArtsNext and Crafts Board Act is not restricted from the sale of crafts based upon the use of waste parts of any game animal legally harvested in any traditional craft produced by the PreviousartistNext if the Previousartist has on his person an identification card demonstrating his compliance with this section."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
