 COACH BRENT HALL ON AN INCREDIBLE SEASON.

TO CONGRATULATE THE EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAM OF DARLINGTON COUNTY ON ITS MOST IMPRESSIVE 2A SOUTH CAROLINA CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS ASSOCIATION STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WIN AND TO HONOR THE PLAYERS AND HEAD COACH BRENT HALL ON AN INCREDIBLE SEASON.

Whereas, baseball is a game of speed, power, and agility as well as a game of precision, accuracy, and extreme concentration. However, to excel in baseball, a team must combine those talents with teamwork, self-discipline, and good sportsmanship; and

Whereas, Head Coach Brent Hall, Assistant Coach Dale Lambert, and the players on the Emmanuel Christian School Baseball Team captured the state title by utilizing a combination of all the attributes of a championship-caliber baseball team; and

Whereas, the 2007 Emmanuel Christian School Baseball Team capped an incredible season with a fifteen and one record by defeating Calvary Christian School of Myrtle Beach to bring home the bragging rights to the state championship; and

Whereas, the April 28, 2007, win represents the first 2A championship for the school in any sport since moving up from 1A to 2A last year and is the first baseball championship the school's baseball team has captured in approximately twenty years; and

Whereas, the team included: David Hwang, Robert Hawkins, Steven Moore, Andrew Hall, Billy Jack Johnson, Bradley Gainey, Thomy Windham, Jared Carmona, Paul Hopkins, J. T. Lambert, Mack Rogers, Jon Stokes, Les Anderson, and Blakeland Harrison; and

Whereas, it is with great pleasure and a certain measure of Pee Dee pride, that the South Carolina House of Representatives pauses to recognize the accomplishments and dedication of these fine Christian athletes and their coaches and to congratulate them on their success. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate the Emmanuel Christian School Baseball Team of Darlington County on its most impressive 2A South Carolina Christian Schools Association State Championship win and honor the players and Head Coach Brent Hall on an incredible season.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Coach Brent Hall on behalf of the championship winning baseball team of Emmanuel Christian School.
