AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 40-67-150, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO FEES FIXED BY THE BOARD OF EXAMINERS IN SPEECH PATHOLOGY AND AUDIOLOGY, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT SUCH FEES SHALL BE IN AMOUNTS SUFFICIENT TO FUND THE ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES OF THE BOARD.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Fee

Section 1. Section 40-67-150 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 40-67-150. The Board may charge a licensing fee, an annual renewal fee, and a delinquency fee, the amounts of which shall be fixed by the Board. The Board shall fix the amount of the fee so that the total fees collected will be sufficient to meet the expenses of administering this chapter.

Any person, otherwise qualified and certified by the Board, not in the active practice of audiology or speech pathology, may register with the Board for a non-active certificate at an annual fee which shall be fixed by the Board."

Time effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
