A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT STUDENTS AND TEACHERS OF THOSE SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN THIS STATE WHO MISSED A DAY OF SCHOOL DUE TO SNOW OR INCLEMENT WEATHER ARE NOT REQUIRED TO MAKE UP THIS DAY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

School day missed because of snow or inclement weather

SECTION 1. Students and teachers of those school districts in this State who missed a day of school due to snow or inclement weather are not required to make up this day. The loss of this day shall in no way affect the students receiving full credit for the 1982-83 school year and the number of required days of school attendance of these students for the 1982-83 school year is reduced by one.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
