AN ACT TO AMEND ARTICLE 1 OF CHAPTER 7 OF TITLE 7, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO LOCATION OF POLLING PRECINCTS AND VOTING PLACES, BY ADDING SECTION 7-7-501, SO AS TO REDESIGNATE THE VOTING PRECINCTS IN SUMTER COUNTY; AND TO REPEAL SECTION 7-7-500, RELATING TO DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN SUMTER COUNTY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Voting precincts in Sumter County
SECTION 1. Article 1 of Chapter 7 of Title 7 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 7-7-501. In Sumter County there are the following voting precincts: Rembert; Horatio; Hillcrest; Oakland Plantation; Dalzell-DuBose; Horsepen Branch; Oswego; Mayesville; Salem; Taylors; Shiloh; Pleasant Grove-Trinity; Brogdon; Concord; Mulberry; Salterstown; Folsom Park; Green Swamp; Palmetto Park; Burns-Downs; Second Mill; Swan Lake; Morris College; Hampton Park; Crosswell; Loring; Lemira; Magnolia; Stone Hill; South Red Bay; Wilder; Old Pocalla; Savage-Glover; Bates; Birnie; South Liberty; Millwood; Causeway Branch; McCray's Mill North; McCray's Mill South; Sunset; Delaine; Cherryvale; Manchester Forest; Pinewood; Pocotaligo; and Privateer.
The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on maps filed with the clerk of court of the county and also on file with the State Election Commission as provided and maintained by the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board."
Repeal
SECTION 2. Section 7-7-500 of Article 1 of Chapter 7 of Title 7 is repealed.
Time effective
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
