AN ACT TO PERMIT THE CALHOUN COUNTY COUNCIL TO USE CERTAIN FUNDS TO PAY APPROPRIATIONS FOR ORANGEBURG-CALHOUN TECHNICAL COLLEGE, CALHOUN COUNTY MENTAL RETARDATION COMMISSION, INCLUDING THE L. MARION GRESSETTE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, AND CERTAIN LOAN AND INTEREST AS MAY BE ORDAINED BY CALHOUN COUNTY COUNCIL; TO ALLOW THESE FUNDS TO BE DISBURSED BY CALHOUN COUNTY COUNCIL; AND TO REQUIRE, AMONG OTHER THINGS, THAT CERTAIN FUNDS BE USED BY THE CALHOUN COUNTY MUSEUM TO COMPLETE THE BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS TO THE MUSEUM BUILDING IN PROGRESS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Use of certain funds
SECTION 1. The funds collected by the Calhoun County Treasurer, and now on hand, from the tax levies authorized under Section 8 of Act 519 of 1982 for the operation of Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, Calhoun County Mental Retardation Commission, including the L. Marion Gressette Child Development Center, and the retirement of the loan and interest due pursuant to the authorization of Section 7 of Act 519 of 1982 may be used by Calhoun County Council to pay appropriations for the college, the mental retardation commission, including L. Marion Gressette Child Development Center, and loan and interest as may be ordained by Calhoun County Council. The funds may be disbursed as ordained by Calhoun County Council on voucher executed by its chairman.

SECTION 2. Funds collected by the Calhoun County Treasurer, and now on hand, from the one-mill tax levy authorized by Act 228 of 1981 for the operation of Calhoun County Museum must be used by the museum to complete the building improvements to the museum building now in progress. The funds must be disbursed on voucher executed by the chairman of the Calhoun County Historical Commission and affirmed by the chairman of the Calhoun County Council.
Time effective
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
