Almighty God, in Whom our forefathers put their trust and Who is the Source of all strength even today, we thank You for this great Nation, born in suffering, nourished in freedom, and built by a determination to forge onward and upward. We rejoice in our heritage. At the same time, grant to us a deep sense of responsibility. Make sacred our stewardship of greatness as a Nation. S. 1077 -- Fish, Game and Forestry Committee: A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE FOR THE CLOSURE OF CALIBOGUE, PORT ROYAL, AND ST. HELENA SOUNDS TO TRAWLING FOR THE YEARS 1986 AND 1987 AND TO PROVIDE FOR REVIEW OF THE CLOSURE BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY DURING THE 1988 SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

H. 3739 -- Rep. J. Bradley: A JOINT RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITADEL BOARD OF VISITORS ON BEHALF OF THE CITADEL TO PURCHASE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN CHARLESTON AT A COST OF TWO MILLION DOLLARS AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE MANNER IN WHICH FUNDS WILL BE OBTAINED AND REPAID CONCERNING THIS PURCHASE.

H. 3825 -- Rep. Gentry: A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 4-9-90, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF COUNTY COUNCIL AND REAPPORTIONMENT OF SINGLE-MEMBER ELECTION DISTRICTS, SO AS TO AUTHORIZE MEMBERS TO BE ELECTED AS PROVIDED BY ANY COURT-ORDERED PLAN.

S. 1193 -- Senator Waddell: A JOINT RESOLUTION TO REQUIRE THAT THE VALUE OF AGRICULTURAL REAL PROPERTY FOR TAXABLE YEAR 1986 BE DETERMINED BY USING SOUTH CAROLINA TAX COMMISSION GUIDELINES USED IN 1985 FOR DETERMINING FAIR MARKET VALUE FOR AGRICULTURAL USE AND TO REQUIRE THE TAX STUDY COMMISSION TO CONDUCT A REVIEW OF ALL AGRICULTURAL LAND USE AND VALUATION REGULATIONS AND REPORT ITS FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY NO LATER THAN MARCH 31, 1987.
