AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-160, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF THE VOTING PRECINCTS IN CHEROKEE COUNTY, SO AS TO REVISE THESE VOTING PRECINCTS AND PROVIDE FOR THE POLLING PLACES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Voting precincts in Cherokee County

SECTION 1. Section 7-7-160 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 7-7-160. In Cherokee County there are voting precincts as follows: Allens; Alma Mill; Antioch; Ashworth; Blacksburg Ward No. 1; Blacksburg Ward No. 2; Blacksburg Ward No. 3; Blacksburg Ward No. 4; Brown's Mill; Buffalo; Butler; Central; Cherokee Falls; Draytonville; Ezells; Gaffney Ward No. 1; Gaffney Ward No. 2; Gaffney Ward No. 3; Gaffney Ward No. 4; Gaffney Ward No. 5; Gaffney Ward No. 6; Goucher; Grassy Pond; Holly Grove; King's Creek; Limestone Mill; Littlejohn's; Macedonia; Metcalf; Morgan; Musgrove Mill; Ninety Nine; Pleasant Grove; Pleasant Meadows; Ravenna; Sarratt's; Thicketty; Timber Ridge; White Plains; Wilkinsville; and Wood's.

The polling places of the various voting precincts in Cherokee County must be designated by the Cherokee County Election Commission. The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on the official map on file with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the South Carolina Budget and Control Board and as shown on certified copies provided to the State Election Commission and the Board of Voter Registration of the county by the Division of Research and Statistical Services. The official map may not be changed except by act of the General Assembly."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
