A JOINT RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A SPECIAL ELECTION ON TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 1987, TO FILL A VACANCY ON THE LEXINGTON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION FROM SCHOOL DISTRICT THREE AND PROVIDE FOR THE TIME OF QUALIFICATION OF CANDIDATES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Special election

SECTION 1. A special election must be held on Tuesday, April 28, 1987, to fill a vacancy on the Lexington County Board of Education from School District Three pursuant to the provisions of Act 796 of 1978. All candidates for office must qualify by March 29, 1987.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
