AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 16-3-1550, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE VICTIM IMPACT STATEMENT, SO AS TO DELETE CERTAIN PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENTENCING GUIDELINES COMMISSION; AND TO REPEAL CHAPTER 27 OF TITLE 24 RELATING TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENTENCING GUIDELINES COMMISSION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Sentencing Guidelines Commission provisions

deleted

SECTION 1. Section 16-3-1550(E) of the 1976 Code is deleted.

Repeal

SECTION 2. Chapter 27 of Title 24 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

Time effective

SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
