AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 295 OF 1989, RELATING TO THE REPEAL OF THE PROVISIONS OF LAW WHICH ESTABLISHED THE NEWBERRY COUNTY PARK COMMISSION, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE POWERS, DUTIES, AND FUNCTIONS OF THIS COMMISSION AS OF THE TIME OF ITS REPEAL ARE DEVOLVED UPON THE GOVERNING BODY OF NEWBERRY COUNTY, AND THE ASSETS AND LIABILITIES OF THE COMMISSION ARE TRANSFERRED TO THE GOVERNING BODY OF NEWBERRY COUNTY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Powers and duties devolved

SECTION 1. Section 1 of Act 295 of 1989 is amended to read:

"Section 1. Act 735 of 1936 is repealed. The powers, duties, and functions of this commission as of the effective date of its repeal are devolved upon the governing body of Newberry County, and the assets and liabilities of the commission are transferred to the governing body of Newberry County."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
