AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 22-2-195 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT JURORS FOR MAGISTRATES' COURTS IN A COUNTY, AT THE DISCRETION OF THE COUNTY GOVERNING BODY, MAY BE DRAWN AND SUMMONED BY COMPUTER IN THE MANNER THE SUPREME COURT BY ORDER DIRECTS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 22-2-195. In lieu of the manner required by this chapter, jurors for magistrates' courts in a county, at the discretion of the governing body of the county, may be drawn and summoned by computer in the manner the Supreme Court by order directs."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
