AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-21-139 SO AS TO ESTABLISH A NO WAKE ZONE ON THE TAIL RACE CANAL IN BERKELEY COUNTY FROM THE HIGHWAY 52 BRIDGE TO ONE HUNDRED YARDS BELOW THE DOCK RESTAURANT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

No wake zone - Tail Race Canal

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-21-139. There is established a no wake zone to begin at the Highway 52 Bridge across the Tail Race Canal in Berkeley County and extending to a point one hundred yards below the Dock Restaurant located on the west bank of the canal. These boundaries must be clearly marked with signs. The signs must be designed and installed as specified by the South Carolina Wildlife and Marine Resources Department."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
