The House assembled at 12:00 Noon.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:
O God, our Father, acquainted with all our ways and Whose concern continues for us in spite of our shortcomings, we pause in prayer in acknowledgement of our dependence upon You. Confronting problems too great for us to solve alone and coming face to face with challenges that frustrate us, we ask Your wisdom to rightly interpret all that is before us. Give us insight to see clearly the way we should go, and for strength to do what we ought to do. Give to us the assurance that underneath are the everlasting arms of an All-wise and All-powerful God. Abide with us now and always.
We make our prayer in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
