TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 4-27-187 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT STREETS OR ROADS PROVIDING INGRESS AND EGRESS TO PARCELS OF LAND CREATED FROM A SINGLE TRACT OF LAND ARE EXEMPT FROM COUNTY AND LOCAL SUBDIVISION REQUIREMENTS UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 4-27-187.Parcels of land created from a single tract of land are exempt from county and local subdivision requirements and regulations if:
(1) a road or street providing ingress and egress to the parcels is at least thirty feet wide;
(2) no more than four parcels of land are created from the tract of land;
(3) each parcel consists of at least five acres of land; and
(4) record title of the tract of land and all parcels created from the tract of land are in persons related by blood or marriage."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
