The proposed amendments include changes in civil monetary penalties and sanctions for violation of these standards, as required by the Certification of Need and Health Facility Licensure Act. Other proposed revisions include current recommendations for tuberculosis screening of employees, and the requirement to complete and return the DHEC Joint Annual Statistical Report to the Division of Health Licensing.
Further amendments propose deletion of the requirement for a separate medication preparation room at each nursing station under certain circumstances, and deletion of the requirement for Certificate of Need approval for establishment of Level III perinatal services at regional perinatal centers.
