TO CONGRATULATE THE CITY OF MULLINS JUNIOR BOYS ALLSTAR BASKETBALL TEAM FOR WINNING THE STATE RECREATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP.
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives are very pleased to learn that the City of Mullins Junior Boys Allstar Basketball team recently won the State Recreational League championship by beating a fine Greenville team 74-71 at the state tournament held in Anderson; and
Whereas, the state tournament consisted of players ages fifteen to seventeen on the allstar teams from the various city recreational leagues throughout the State; and
Whereas, under the able leadership of Coaches Glenn Pee and Carlisle White, each of the nine boys on the team contributed significantly to this outstanding win; and
Whereas, this tremendous accomplishment of the Mullins boys has brought deserved credit not only upon them and their coaching staff but upon the City of Mullins and the County of Marion as well; and
Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives, by this resolution, would like to publicly recognize this fine group of talented athletes on the occasion of their winning this well-deserved championship. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the House of Representatives hereby congratulate the City of Mullins Junior Boys Allstar Basketball team for winning the State Recreational League championship.
Be it further resolved that the City of Mullins Junior Boys Allstar Basketball team and their coaches shall be allowed the privilege of the floor of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, April 22, 1992, at a time to be determined by the Speaker for the purpose of recognizing and honoring them.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Coaches Glenn Pee and Carlisle White.
