TO PROVIDE THAT THE COLLETON COUNTY VETERANS AFFAIRS OFFICER MUST BE APPOINTED IN THE MANNER PROVIDED IN SECTION 25-11-40, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, AND TO REPEAL ACT 16 OF 1973 AND ALL OTHER ACTS PROVIDING FOR THE ELECTION OF THE COLLETON COUNTY VETERANS AFFAIRS OFFICER.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The Colleton County Veterans Affairs officer must be appointed in the manner provided in Section 25-11-40, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976.
SECTION 2. Act 16 of 1973 and all other local acts contrary to provisions of Section 1 of this act are repealed.
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
