TO CONGRATULATE THE REVEREND DOCTOR MICHAEL ROSS OF COLUMBIA UPON BEING AWARDED THE DOCTOR OF MINISTRY DEGREE FROM UNITED THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY.
Whereas, Reverend Michael Ross, a native of Vienna, Georgia, is the pastor of New Ebenezer Baptist Church; and
Whereas, he was educated in the public schools of Dooly County, Georgia, and upon graduating from high school, he entered the United States Army and completed four successive years; and
Whereas, while in the Army, Reverend Ross attended Troy State University for two and one-half years and then transferred to Mercer University where he received the Bachelor of Arts degree; and
Whereas, he also holds Bachelor of Theology and Master Divinity degrees respectively from Gulf Coast Seminary and I.T.C. Morehouse School of Religion; and
Whereas, he received the Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary on May 22, 1993; and
Whereas, he is continuing his call to serve the Lord. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate the Reverend Doctor Michael Ross of Columbia upon being awarded the Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Reverend Dr. Michael Ross.
