TO CONGRATULATE HARRISON REARDEN OF COLUMBIA UPON BEING NAMED 1993 OUTSTANDING MALE STATE EMPLOYEE.
Whereas, Harrison Rearden of Columbia has been employed by the State of South Carolina for nineteen years; and
Whereas, Mr. Rearden is currently employed by the South Carolina Department of Social Services as Deputy Commissioner for Office of Individual/Provider Rights, Investigations and Support Services where he is responsible for managing statewide investigation of programs administered by the department; and
Whereas, Mr. Rearden has held numerous positions with the Department of Social Services; and
Whereas, he is active in many community-based organizations including the NAACP, the American Lung Association, the Lupus Foundation, United Way of the Midlands, and many others; and
Whereas, Mr. Rearden received the Order of the Palmetto; and
Whereas, the South Carolina State Employees Association has selected Mr. Rearden as 1993 Outstanding Male State Employee for his dedicated service to the citizens of the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring: That the members of the General Assembly hereby congratulate Harrison Rearden of Columbia upon being named 1993 Outstanding Male State Employee.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Rearden.
