Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

Almighty God, Who knows the questions that often haunt us, the longings for which we yearn, and the problems for which we have no satisfactory answer, grant us Your help in keeping with Your knowledge of our needs. Cleanse us of all that is sinful or unworthy, and inspire us to reach for loftier goals. Open our hearts to Your aid as we strive to perform faithfully and well our daily tasks.

We pray in the Name of Him Whose love for us endures forever.

Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

At 10:10 A.M. the House in accordance with H. 4239 (Sine Die Adjournment Resolution) adjourned to meet at 10:00 A.M. tomorrow.
