The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.

Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

We thank You, Heavenly Father, that You have given us the privilege during the past weeks of being laborers in Your vineyard. And with undaunted courage may we continue to sow seeds of truth, understanding and goodwill, believing in its harvest in keeping with Your mighty plans and purposes. And even though we toil in many discouragements and difficulties, cause us to know that while weeping may be for the night, joy comes in the morning for those whose trust is stayed in the Lord.

Thank You for Your promise to hear our prayer. Amen.
