Senator McCONNELL placed the name of Mr. John W. Kittredge in nomination.
Senator McCONNELL moved that the nominations be closed and, with unanimous consent, the vote was taken by acclamation, resulting in the election of the nominee.
Whereupon, the PRESIDENT announced that the Honorable John W. Kittredge was duly elected to the Circuit Court, At-Large Position, Seat #11, for the term prescribed by law.
The PRESIDENT announced that nominations were in order to elect a successor to the Circuit Court, At-Large Position, Seat #12.
Senator McCONNELL, Chairman of the Judicial Screening Committee, stated that Mr. Robert S. Armstrong, Mr. James R. Barber, III, Mr. James E. Brogdon, Jr., Mr. Thomas C. Dillard, Mr. Dale L. DuTremble, Ms. Selma T. Jones, Ms. Brenda Reddix-Smalls, and Mr. James C. Williams, Jr. had been screened and found qualified.
On motion of Senator McCONNELL, the names of Mr. Thomas C. Cofield, Mr. Robert S. Armstrong, Mr. James R. Barber, III, Mr. Dale L. DuTremble, Ms. Selma T. Jones, Mr. James C. Williams, Jr., Ms. Brenda Reddix-Smalls, and Mr. Thomas C. Dillard were withdrawn from consideration.
