 1     A.  The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

 3           "Section 59-123-115.  The South Carolina Area Health Education Consortium shall be awarded funding for the Statewide Family
 4     Practice Residency System, the Graduate Doctor Education Program, and the Area Health Education Center Program based on the
 5     appropriate formula, as approved by the Area Health Education Consortium and the Commission on Higher Education, and the funding
 6     methodology shall be applied in a manner consistent with that of other state institutions of higher learning."

 8     B.  This section takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
