3 TO AMEND SECTION 35-1-220, AS AMENDED, OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO FUNDS FROM FEES AND LITIGATION
4 SETTLEMENT ALLOWED TO BE RETAINED BY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR OPERATION OF THE SECURITIES
5 DIVISION, SO AS TO ALLOW FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS OF ANNUAL FEE REVENUES TO BE RETAINED
6 BY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR THE OPERATIONS OF THE SECURITIES DIVISION.

8 A. Section 35-1-220(A) of the 1976 Code, as amended by Act 134 of 1997, is further amended to read:
9 "(A) Fee revenues collected pursuant to this chapter in excess of such revenues credited to the general fund of the State in Fiscal Year
10 1995-96 may be retained by the Attorney General and used for the operations of the Securities Division. The Attorney General may retain the
11 first five hundred thousand dollars from fee revenues collected pursuant to this chapter to be used for the operations of the Securities Division.

13 B. This section takes effect July 1, 1998.
