26 COMMISSION TO PROVIDE TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE EDUCATION ASSISTANCE AUTHORITY OR ITS
27 CONTRACTUAL AGENT WITH INFORMATION FROM ITS RECORDS FOR PURPOSES OF THE COLLECTION OF
28 DEFAULTED STUDENT LOANS.

30 A. Section 41-29-170 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 71 of 1997, is amended by adding a new subsection (C) to read:

32 "(C) The commission shall provide to the South Carolina State Education Assistance Authority or its contractual agent, the South
33 Carolina Student Loan Corporation, upon request, information from its records to the extent necessary for the proper collection of

1 defaulted student loans. The information supplied shall include the name, home address, ordinary occupation, employment status, and
2 employer's address for individuals with defaulted loans."

4 B. This section takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
