 8     TO AMEND THE 1976 CODE BY ADDING SECTION 59-117-85 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT EMPLOYEES OF AGENCIES AND
 9     INSTITUTIONS AFFILIATED WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, WHO HOLD
10     FACULTY APPOINTMENTS IN THE SCHOOL, MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE SCHOOL'S PRACTICE PLAN, AND TO
11     PROVIDE THAT FUNDS GENERATED BY SUCH PARTICIPANTS SHALL BE HANDLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
12     UNIVERSITY POLICIES GOVERNING PRACTICE PLAN FUNDS.

14     A.  The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

16           "Section 59-117-85. Employees of agencies and institutions affiliated with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine who
17     hold faculty appointments in the school may participate in the school's practice plan.  Funds generated by such participants shall be handled
18     in accordance with university policies governing practice plan funds."

20     B.   This section takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
