13 63F.1. (BCB/RET: Authorization to Pay For Data Processing Services) The Retirement System is authorized to pay the Budget &
14 Control Board - Division of Executive Director from funds appropriated to contractual services a charge for data processing services. The
15 cost will be determined on an hourly basis and shall not exceed the sum of $600,000.
16 63F.2. (BCB/RET: Retirement Benefits Limits Increase) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, except as provided below,
17 retirees and beneficiaries under the State Retirement Systems receiving Medicaid (Title XIX) sponsored nursing home care as of June 30,
18 of the prior fiscal year shall receive no increase in retirement benefits during the current fiscal year. However, a retired employee affected
19 by the above prohibition may receive the scheduled increase if he is discharged from the nursing home and does not require admission
20 to a hospital or nursing home within six months. The Department of Health & Human Services, the Department of Social Services, and
21 the State Retirement Systems must share the information needed to implement this proviso.
22 63F.3. (BCB/RET: Retirement Contributions - Monthly Transfers) Notwithstanding the amounts appropriated in Subsection 63F
23 of this Section as "State Employer Contributions," the State Treasurer and Comptroller General are hereby authorized and directed to
24 transfer from the General Fund of the State to the proper Retirement System Accounts, month by month, during the current fiscal year,
25 such funds as are necessary to comply with the terms of the Retirement Act as amended, with respect to contributions by the State of South
26 Carolina to the Retirement System.
27 63F.4. (BCB/RET: Temporary Scientific Consultative Employment) Any teacher or employee especially skilled in scientific
28 knowledge and attainment may be temporarily employed by any part of the government or any agency thereof in a consultative capacity
29 on a per diem compensation without such temporary consultative employment in any way affecting, reducing or canceling his retirement
30 benefits but such temporary consultative employment shall not exceed six months in any one year.
31 63F.5. (BCB/RET: Deferred Compensation Additional Optional Mutual Fund Selection) The Deferred Compensation Commission
32 is directed to study and implement, where feasible, additional optional mutual fund selections ranging from low risk to very aggressive
33 funds for the deferred compensation plan.
