TO AMEND SECTION 20-7-420, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE JURISDICTION OF FAMILY COURT, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT SIBLING VISITATION BE ORDERED WHEN IT IS DETERMINED TO BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILDREN.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 20-7-420 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 287 and Act 446 of 1996, is further amended by adding a new subitem at the end to read:
"( ) to order sibling visitation where the court finds it is in the best interest of the children."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
