Cato: A BILL TO AMEND TITLE 40, CHAPTER 57, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA REAL ESTATE COMMISSION, SO AS TO CONFORM THIS CHAPTER TO THE STATUTORY ORGANIZATIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE FRAMEWORK ESTABLISHED FOR PROFESSIONAL AND OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING BOARDS IN CHAPTER 1, TITLE 40 AND, AMONG OTHER THINGS, TO EXPAND THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF A "BROKER-IN-CHARGE", TO ESTABLISH THE PARAMETERS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AGENCY RELATIONSHIPS IN REAL ESTATE, AND TO REQUIRE LICENSEES TO HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR THE EQUIVALENT, TO INCREASE THE HOURS REQUIRED FOR A BROKER'S LICENSE, TO ELIMINATE THE TWO-TIERED SALES EXAMINATION, TO ESTABLISH OPTIONS FOR SETTLING EARNEST MONEY DISPUTES AND TO REVISE FINES.
