The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.

Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

All wise and eternal God, Whose love is without limit and Whose truth endures forever, we lift our thoughts above the clamor and confusion of the world into the calm of Your presence. With Your guidance we are able to make wise decisions, gain strength for daily living, and find courage to tackle problems and given faith to move forward fearlessly knowing that You are with us and that we are laboring for the highest good. Make us strong enough to do the things we ought to do and wise enough to undo things that are wrong.

We pray in the words of the Psalmist: "Show me Your way, O Lord; teach me Your paths." (Psalm 25:4) Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

At 10:05 A.M. the House in accordance with the ruling of the SPEAKER adjourned to meet at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, March 11.
