O God our Father, we pause in these moments of prayer to show our dependence upon You and to pray that we may face the challenges of this day with courage and faith. Rule our hearts and direct our endeavors that law and order, justice and peace may prevail. Make us steadfast in moving along right paths that we may be worthy of the blessings that come from God. We thank You for the freedom we enjoy, for the rights which are ours, and for the future that beckons us. Strengthen us with the ties that bind us together with each other and with our God.
