Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

O God Who did speak in the stillness of the morning and in the quiet of the evening, speak to us now as we have entered into the duties of this day. During all of its hours keep us aware of Your sustaining strength and Your supporting guidance. Direct us with the light of Your truths and lead us by the inspiration of Your love that our work may be well done for the good of Your people.

Bless our beloved State, and keep our minds fixed on the words of the Psalmist: "Make me to know Your ways, O Lord, and teach me Your paths." (Psalm 25:4) Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

At 10:05 A.M. the House in accordance with H. 5159, the Sine Die Adjournment Resolution, adjourned to meet at 10:00 A.M. tomorrow.
