The Senate assembled at 11:00 A.M., the hour to which it stood adjourned, and was called to order by the ACTING PRESIDENT, Senator LANDER.

Cave: A BILL TO PROVIDE FOR FOUR ADDITIONAL MEMBERS OF THE ALLENDALE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION TO SERVE FOR TERMS TO EXPIRE IN 2002, TO PROVIDE FOR THE MANNER IN WHICH THESE ADDITIONAL MEMBERS SHALL BE APPOINTED, AND TO PROVIDE THAT THEIR SUCCESSORS SHALL BE ELECTED AT THE 2002 ELECTION IN THE MANNER THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY SHALL PROVIDE BY LAW.
Senators HUTTO and WASHINGTON asked unanimous consent to make a motion to recall the Bill from the Allendale County Delegation.
The Senate proceeded to a consideration of the Bill, the question being the second reading of the Bill.
On motion of Senators HUTTO and WASHINGTON, the Bill was ordered to a second reading with notice of general amendments.
On motion of Senator HAYES, with unanimous consent, the Senate stood adjourned out of respect to the memory of Mr. Loyd Shaw of Rock Hill, S.C.
At 11:20 A.M., on motion of Senator COURSON, the Senate adjourned to meet tomorrow, June 9, 1998, at 11:00 A.M., under the provisions of H. 5159, the Sine Die Resolution, for the purpose of taking up local matters and uncontested matters which have previously received unanimous consent to be taken up.
