DESIGNATING FEBRUARY 26, 1999, AS "SENIOR CITIZENS SUMMIT DAY 1999" IN SOUTH CAROLINA IN RECOGNITION OF THE OUTSTANDING ENDEAVOR OF THE YOUNG LAWYERS DIVISION OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA BAR TO EDUCATE SENIOR CITIZENS ON CERTAIN IMPORTANT ISSUES.
Whereas, the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar is sponsoring senior citizens summits across the Palmetto State on February 26, 1999; these summits are designed to educate senior citizens on a number of important topics including, among others, medicine, nutrition, wills, and estates; these summits are scheduled to be held in Charleston, Manning, Columbia, Greenville, and Hilton Head; and
Whereas, this undertaking by the Young Lawyers Division is highly worthwhile and beneficial to older South Carolinians and is certain to generate much well-deserved interest and attendance. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:
That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, designates February 26, 1999, as "Senior Citizens Summit Day 1999" in South Carolina in recognition of the outstanding endeavor of the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar to educate senior citizens on certain important issues.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar.
