AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 318 OF 1965, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE CHEROKEE SPRINGS FIRE DISTRICT IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SO AS TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF FIRE CONTROL TO EMPLOY FULL-TIME FIREMEN AND A FIRE CHIEF.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Powers of board
SECTION 1. Section 5(c) and (d) of Act 318 of 1965 is amended to read:
"(c) To provide and select the drivers and other firemen, including a chief, to man the equipment.
(d) To procure and supervise the training of the firemen selected to ensure that the equipment must be utilized for the best interest of the area."
Time effective
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
