A HOUSE RESOLUTION

APPOINTING AND ANOINTING THE HONORABLE FOSTER M. "BILLY" ROUTH III, DIRECTOR OF CONSTITUENT SERVICES FOR THIS DISTINGUISHED HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, AS THE FIRST-EVER MAYOR OF THE BLATT BUILDING IN RECOGNITION OF HIS OMNIPOTENCE AND OMNISCIENCE IN MAINTAINING THE VERY DELICATE BALANCE BETWEEN SERVING THE PUBLIC AND PACIFYING THE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

Whereas, Foster M. "Billy" Routh III serves in the most notable role as Director of Constituent Services for the House of Representatives; and

Whereas, in that position, he has displayed extraordinary tact and charm while exercising his awesome authority; and

Whereas, he is required to know everything and to accomplish everything while balancing the goodwill of the public with that of us lawmakers; and

Whereas, he occasionally hits the mark in achieving that delicate balance and other times he gleefully reminds us that it is "his" public which elected us anyway. Now, therefore,

It is hereby resolved by the members of House of Representatives:

That Foster M. "Billy" Routh III is hereby appointed and anointed the first-ever Mayor of the Blatt Building in recognition of his omnipotence and omniscience in maintaining the very delicate balance between serving the public and pacifying the members of the House of Representatives.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to him upon the occasion of his inauguration.
