TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, STATE BOARD OF PHARMACY, RELATING TO FACILITY PERMIT CLASSIFICATIONS, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2426, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, State Board of Pharmacy, relating to facility permit classifications, designated as Regulation Document Number 2426, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
This new regulation establishes facility permit classifications as required by Section 40-43-83 of the Pharmacy Practice Act. The board regulates pharmacies, clinics, wholesalers, manufacturers, distributors, and mail-order pharmacies of legend drugs and devices located in South Carolina and those located outside of South Carolina whose primary business is mail-order pharmacy. This regulation establishes the requirements for different types of permits for the different pharmaceutical operations.
