To whom was referred a Joint Resolution (H. 4327), to provide that the school days missed on September 15 and 16, 1999, by the students of any school of the Chesterfield County School District during school year 1999-2000, etc., respectfully
That they have duly and carefully considered the same, and recommend that the same do pass:

TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAYS MISSED ON SEPTEMBER 15 AND 16, 1999, BY THE STUDENTS OF ANY SCHOOL OF THE CHESTERFIELD COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT DURING SCHOOL YEAR 1999-2000 WHEN THE SCHOOLS WERE CLOSED DUE TO HURRICANE FLOYD AND THE FLOODING THAT FOLLOWED ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT FULL SCHOOL DAYS MISSED DUE TO EXTREME WEATHER OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES BE MADE UP.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The school days missed on September 15 and 16, 1999, by students of any school of the Chesterfield County School District during school year 1999-2000 when the schools were closed due to Hurricane Floyd and the flooding that followed are exempted from the make-up requirement of the defined minimum plan that full school days missed due to extreme weather or other circumstances be made up.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
