A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE IN THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES IN DILLON COUNTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2000, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2001.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The taxes which were imposed in Dillon County for school purposes for fiscal year 1999-2000 are reimposed for fiscal year 2000-2001, and there is imposed for fiscal year 2000-2001 for school purposes the following additional millages:

(1) general fund, 5 mills;

(2) Dillon Technical Center, 1 mill;

(3) teacher salaries bonus, 2 1/2 mills.

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
