TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, LICENSING AND REGULATION, BOARD OF FUNERAL SERVICE, RELATING TO DEFINITIONS, OFFICERS OF THE BOARD, MEETINGS, LICENSING PROVISIONS, CONTINUING EDUCATION, FEES, AND CODE OF ETHICS, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 2381, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Board of Funeral Service, relating to definitions, officers of the board, meetings, licensing provisions, continuing education, fees, and code of ethics, designated as Regulation Document Number 2381, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
The Board of Funeral Service proposes regulations to supplement its recently enacted practice act. The proposed changes include, but are not limited to, deleting repetitious language that is in statute, establishing fees, continuing education guidelines, and general licensure provisions. The current regulations are being repealed and will be replaced by the regulations listed below.
