The Senate assembled at 11:00 A.M., the hour to which it stood adjourned, and was called to order by the ACTING PRESIDENT, Senator SETZLER.

The following was introduced:

S. 897 (Word version) -- Senator Hutto: A BILL TO AMEND ACT 2 OF 1963 TO ALLOW MEMBERS OF THE BARNWELL SCHOOL DISTRICT 45 BOARD OF TRUSTEES IN BARNWELL COUNTY TO PROVIDE A STIPEND TO BOARD MEMBERS FOR SERVICES RENDERED.

Read the first time and ordered placed on the local and uncontested Calendar.

On motion of Senator HUTTO, S. 897 was ordered to receive a second and third reading on the next two consecutive legislative days.

At 11:10 A.M., on motion of Senator BAUER, the Senate adjourned to meet at 11:00 A.M., on Tuesday, June 15, 1999, under the provisions of H. 4237, the Sine Die Resolution, for the purpose of taking up local and uncontested matters which have previously received unanimous consent to be taken up.
